P.E.C

Pin Up is gorgeous beyond belief. Even if your conservative, I bet your bottoms that you secretly love it or openly love it but secretly wish you could pull it off.

Well I decided to write about the unmistakable pin up look and the most beautiful women who have pulled it off in the past and those who show case it today in all its glory.

So what makes the greats great?

3 Things:

1-Pose
2-Expression
3-Clothes

Those are most important with the overall look. Without those where would these sex symbols be?

Now I'm sure you all are thinking that those are so easy to pull off but really even the most difficult things you've ever done can look so easy. Frustration is never key when wanting to be sexy. So how do you fix the frustration and become a bombshell in no time?

Lets look at number 1: Pose

Posing can make or break a model and must be studied like the finals in school. As a model I find myself most embarrassed when I or my body is captured in a pose that does nothing good but all worse in a photo. So how does one primp it for better? Easy. Like I said study is key. Know all your good angles and bad angles. Go look at yourself in a full body mirror and ask yourself, What do you like most about your body or face? Is it your eyes? Legs? Curves? Whatever it is you can always up your good stuff to excellence!

For example, lets talk about legs. Whether your short or tall or in between you can always make yourself taller. High heels are key to reaching the sky. The heels accent and lengthen the legs so much that, depending on the height of heels, you could be 5'6 normally, 5'7 in heels  when looking at you in real life and look like 5'8 or higher in photos. That my dear is the wonder of heels. Not only that but they give your body great posture and give more oomph! on your bum and breasts from that great posture and so much more confidence. ;)

So what about the face? Well that leads up to number 2: Expression

Expression is amazingly hard for most and extremely simple for the rest. Having to show life and emotions in the eyes by far is the hardest thing I have done as a model that's for sure. I believe that expression is deceiving. Sometimes a person could feel their face in a good expression but when they see the photo they get the feeling that their empty. Mostly in the eyes I found that to happen most. So how do you achieve life behind those dolled up eyes? Well simply put just emotions. Being sad or angry or very happy could make the photo look gorgeous and if its good enough, could even make the viewer feel that exact feeling.

Sometimes remembering a memory or singing a song in your head will do just the trick. Remember Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban? Well if you cant recall or have never seen it, Harry is plagued with fainting or blacking out when a Dementor comes close to him. To help solve the issue, Professor Lupin had him practice the Patronus Charm to help ward of the soul sucking creatures. But to make the charm effective, Harry had to think of a memory, a very happy one and that would help the Patronus work its magick to the fullest. That's exactly like getting the right expression.

But with expression also brings us back to posing. Posing the face in the right position and direction can also help with getting the right emotion to come straight through your eyes. A glance up with your eyes could show your thinking. Perfect for a librarian or a student if doing themed Pin Up. Moving the face up but keeping the eyes on an object, person or photographer could give you a sultry, sexy, come hither look that could melt the person at the legs. But you don't just have to move up and down. While looking in the mirror, move your face in a circle while keeping your eyes glued on the mirror watching every move, angle and the way your expression changes. I promise you'll love it!

Lips are easy to do but getting in the habit of posing them wrong could be disastrous for the photo. Not all poses of any kind will be bad on everybody. Some pull off poses like a star that could make you look unflattering. But never be too afraid. Like I said lips are easy. If you like to smile and look hot while at it then use it to your full potential when doing Pin Up. If you like to look stern with a hard stare and look sexy and dominating while at it. Use it to your full potential as well. BUT. There's one word you should keep in mind.

Moderation

Going overboard is just as bad as looking completely unflattering in a photo from a bad pose.

Is posing and expression not enough for your confidence? Well that's why we are on to number 3:

Clothes

I can not emphasize on how important clothes are to a person, cosplayer, model or actor/ess. To be the part you must live the part and that includes clothes and attitude. Now for some, clothes are easy to come by or easy to make themselves instead of buying.

Now Pin Up or even 50's vintage clothes is very flattering on the body. Gives a small waist, round hips and a full bust. To get that amazing look, measurements must be exact or darn near close. Some outfits run small so ordering a size bigger wont be a big deal. Most sites let you know when this happens. Depending if your shoot is a day out on the beach, picnic or even a sexy night in the bedroom, you will ALWAYS find the perfect outfit and shoes.

With those 3 things, attitude should come naturally. You'll be looking sexy and feeling sexy and confident in no time. If you have a favorite Pin Up model try and copy her poses, maybe take a small part of her look. Most Pin Up queens are noticed and famous for 1 thing they do or maybe even more but there's always that 1 special thing that tops the others. Also study her fashion. The way she wears the clothes or mixes them up.

My advice? Study all of them. They all have different complexions which makes it difficult to help understand which goes with your skin if your favorite is as pale as a snowflake like Dita Von Teese try looking at photos of a model with your skin complexion or close.

I hope this has helped. Next Ill be doing Make up styles. :)
